Thanksgiving Round-Up

🦃 Eat, drink, and be thankful 🦃

Thankful this week (and always) for this beautiful place I get to call home, my family/friends/pup, Guido’s, Thomas Keller’s roast chicken (instead of turkey), raspberry jam from the Russian store, formula 1 race weekends, hot cocoa with Dandie’s peppermint marshmallows… and the ability to walk 🦃

Can’t say I expected to spend my Thanksgiving Eve at the Fairview Hospital all day, but I guess expect the unexpected 😵‍💫

A slip on the black ice on the porch stairs, 6 hours at the ER, a bruised rib or two, and several severe muscle tears later - I was able to get home in one piece.

Needless to say I’m extra extra thankful for my Mom for all of the love, care, and help she gave me this week. I’m choosing to be extra thankful that this happened on a holiday weekend, because at least I was surrounded by my family and didn’t have to figure everything out on my own.

I was able to adapt, and with Dennis, still produce our full Thanksgiving feast - cocktail, appetizers, and full dinner buffet! Who knew you could do so much cooking while sitting down? 😂 Obviously it was a team effort this year, and I’m hoping next years is a little less dramatic and a little more mobile for me!

Cheers, and let the holiday season begin! 🥂
